Write a Python program to remove all elements from a given list present in another list using lambda.

Sample Solution:

Python Code :

def index_on_inner_list(list1, list2):
    result = list(filter(lambda x: x not in list2, list1))
    return result
list1 = [1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10]
list2 = [2,4,6,8]
print("Original lists:")
print("list1:", list1)
print("list2:", list2)
print("\nRemove all elements from 'list1' present in 'list2:")
print(index_on_inner_list(list1, list2))

Sample Output:

Original lists:
list1: [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10]
list2: [2, 4, 6, 8]

Remove all elements from 'list1' present in 'list2:
[1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10]

Python: Tips of the Day

Find current directory and file's directory:

To get the full path to the directory a Python file is contained in, write this in that file:

import os 
dir_path = os.path.dirname(os.path.realpath(__file__))

(Note that the incantation above won't work if you've already used os.chdir() to change your current working directory, since the value of the __file__ constant is relative to the current working directory and is not changed by an os.chdir() call.)

To get the current working directory use

import os
cwd = os.getcwd()
